How Rayan & Samir Consultation's works.
A small advisory practice in Cairo. Four stages. One senior advisor on every engagement. Decisions first, execution managed end-to-end, and an honest list of the work we do not take.
Most advisory firms sell execution and dress it up as advisory. We sell the decision and then manage the execution as part of the same engagement. The reason is simple: the decision is what costs money to get wrong, and the execution is what costs time to get right. Both deserve an advisor who treats them as the same job.
Everything below describes how that job actually runs — from the first call you do not pay for, through the written deliverable that locks the structure in, through the months of managed execution, through the handover document you keep on file. We work with a small number of clients on purpose, because the advisory we are paid for is judgment, and judgment does not scale infinitely.
The four stages of every engagement

Discovery call
Free. 30 minutes. English or Arabic. You describe the business, the capital, the partners, the sector, and the timeline. We name the two or three entity options that are realistic for your case and we tell you what is hard about each. No script, no slide deck — a real conversation with an advisor who has seen the file before.

Advisory deliverable
A written memo, usually 4–8 pages, that recommends the structure, names the realistic alternatives, lays out the tax position, walks through the document checklist, and quotes a fully-itemised cost picture. You decide whether to proceed before any execution begins. If you do not, the memo is still yours to keep.

Execution managed
Our advisors personally manage every step: name reservation, articles of association, capital deposit, registration, tax card, social insurance file, and any sector pre-approvals. You receive a written update every week — what was filed, what is pending, what is next. You do not chase us; we report.

Handover and optional retainer
A one-hour session covering the monthly tax calendar, e-Invoice obligations, the annual filings, and the who-to-call-when. You receive a handover document you can hand to your next CFO. If you want, we stay on as your ongoing compliance partner — same advisor on the formation and the operational years.
Working with us — what to expect
Email is the system of record. WhatsApp is for the moments when email is too slow. Calendly is for booking a real call. We reply within one business day, every day, and our advisors read every message themselves before anyone else touches it.
Every engagement has one senior advisor who is accountable for delivery. You do not get rotated between associates, and you do not chase a generic inbox. The advisor who took your first call is the advisor who hands you the handover document — and is the same advisor you call two years later when the tax authority writes to you.
Invoicing is upfront and milestone-based. The discovery call is free. The advisory deliverable is quoted before it begins. Managed execution is quoted as a single fixed engagement, not by the hour. If something is outside what we agreed, we will tell you before we do it — and you will see the quote before we start.
What we won't do
An honest list of work that sits outside our practice. When you need any of these, we coordinate with specialists we trust and stay involved as your advisor.
- Litigation. We are not your trial lawyers. When a dispute crosses into court, we coordinate with appeals-level legal counsel and remain your advisor on the commercial position.
- Representation at the Tax Court. We manage tax audits up to and including the internal committees — but representation before the Tax Court is the job of a specialist tax lawyer. We bring one in and stay alongside you on the file.
- Engagements outside our practice areas. We do not pretend to do M&A advisory, transfer pricing for multinationals, or sector regulation work in spaces we have not lived in. We will refer you to a specialist and tell you what to ask.
- Promises we cannot price. If we do not understand the scope well enough to quote a fixed engagement, we will not pretend we do. We will scope it explicitly, or we will tell you to find someone closer to it than we are.
